Grow Your Community – Siam Gardens

On Monday 19th June, 2pm – 3.30 pm, the Grow Your Community team will be at Siam Gardens to tend the flowers there.
Please pop by and give a hand. Dan will have tools and gloves but do bring your own if you have them.
Grow Your Community are tending this once a month and it all helps keep Sudbury looking good.

As ever all are welcome to join the group of gardening volunteers at Siam Gardens once a month and at the two weekly regular gardening sessions as well:

Monday mornings 10 – 12.30 at the Bridge Project – Join in the Gardening
Thursday Mornings 10 – 12.30 at Belle Vue Park – Making it lovely in the Park.

Feel free to call Dan up to chat. It may be what you’re looking to do or you know someone who might benefit. So far they have a diverse friendly group and you would be most welcome.

Green Belt Public Meeting.

Please show your love for Sudbury by joining in the Green Belt Public Meeting at St Peter’s Church

next Tuesday, 25th April at 7.15pm.

With so much of the land round our town now earmarked for yet more development, we are speaking up to question why there is no longer a Vision for Sudbury! We believe good planning would give the jobs and houses we need, yet still let us live in the countryside.

Sudbury still has the people with ideas, devotion, and a memory of what a beautiful town is like! So please come and hear information from our speakers, the election candidates, and Teresa Bishop, Charlie Haylock, Ralph Carpenter and Theo Bird.

Love Sudbury and Great Cornard’s Green Belt ~ while there still is one!

NB This is not a Greener Sudbury event, but is posted on behalf of the Sudbury Green Belt group.

Final Friday Tidy of 2016!

Everyone at Greener Sudbury wishes you

a Merry  Christmas and  a Happy New Year!

We have had our own pre-Christmas celebration, and planned our final Friday Tidy of 2016 – a great way to work off some of the festive excess!

Please join us on Friday 30 December, between 10 am and 12 noon, at the Quay car park for some tidying up and a few mince pies!

Bob Flowerdew at the Quay

Just a quick reminder that Bob Flowerdew will be providing some ‘idiosyncratic iconoclastic chat, anecdotes, verse and song’ at the Quay Theatre on Saturday October 15th at 7pm*. The perfect anecdote/antidote for the longer nights! Still some tickets left – available at the Quay.

*Apologies – time is 7pm and not 8pm as previously stated.
