Kingfisher update…

The lilies have introduced a welcome splash of orange in the edible bed. Why not pick a few sprigs of rosemary for flavouring, or some calendula petals to sprinkle onto a salad?

A productive morning.

We had a productive morning at the tubs behind Roy’s, with a few unruly plants removed and a bit of pruning on others.

Roy’s kindly donated a couple of plants, and some gravel – so new plants were installed (along with several grown by our volunteers), the tubs were topped up with some fresh soil, and all was topped off with gravel to help with moisture retention during any particularly dry spells.

Friday Tidy in July!

Friday Tidy!

dscf7963 Meet on 14 July at the back of Roy’s for some sorting out, fixing up and, of course, weeding. The tubs we will be working on are at the seating areas on either side of the back entrance to Roy’s, (across from the back of Thingmebobs) on Great Eastern Road. If there is time we might also pop round to the Kingfisher beds.

New faces always welcome – just come along ready for some gardening!

Any spare plants for Belle Vue Park?

This Thursday 13th July Grow Your Community wants to make this area of Belle Vue Park lovely.

Grow Your Community needs your help to bring any plants that suit part sun, part shade. Meet at 11am in the woodlands near Ingrams Park Road (parking there too). Thank you. It will also make the park look a bit better for Party in the Park!

Survey St Peter…

If you enjoyed the Taste of Sudbury, you will very probably have gone in to St Peter on Market Hill to browse the food stalls there.

This beautiful venue sits at the heart of Sudbury life, but we believe it can provide so much more. We have been awarded a grant from Heritage Lottery Fund’s Sharing Heritage programme to develop the venue’s appeal to people of all ages and interests. We would like to know the ideas and opinions of all the different people of Sudbury. This is an opportunity for you to have your say!”

Click here to visit their exciting new web site, and here to take part in an online survey about your opinions and thoughts about St Peter – and be in with the chance of winning a £30 voucher to spend at Compact Music! They would like to hear from everyone, especially younger residents of Sudbury – so please share with all your family and friends!
